Science Fair 2013

St. Dominic School is a nurturing and professional community of faculty, staff, students and parents who work together for the spiritual, academic, social, physical and emotional growth of every child. We strive to create an atmosphere where parents, the first and foremost educators of children, work with teachers as partners in the development of the whole child. We are committed to providing our students with the skills they need in order to grow in their faith, to serve others, to make a difference in the world, and to become active participants in the global society of the 21st century.
Located in Washington County, KY, in the town of Springfield, we are one of 39 Catholic elementary schools in the Archdiocese of Louisville. As a Catholic school, St.
Dominic offers religion instruction daily that focuses on preparing students to become knowledgeable practitioners
of their faith. Because of our Christ-centered approach to teaching and learning, St. Dominic School provides a
welcome environment for children from other faith traditions as well.
Founded in 1929, St. Dominic School remains a vital mission of St. Dominic Parish and a proudly supported member of the Springfield and Washington County community. We offer a standards-based curriculum for preschool through grade eight as well as an after-school child care center. We have a rich tradition of providing a training ground for tomorrow’s leaders in high school and beyond through our academic and athletic programs as well as our emphasis on stewardship, self-discipline and ethical and moral responsibility.
We are a PeaceBuilders school, which means that we are part of a nationwide organization of public and private schools that endeavor to create a safe, positive, productive and bully-free atmosphere for working and learning. We are confident that you will feel the PeaceBuilders difference throughout our school.
To ask any questions you may have, to arrange a tour of our facilities, or to begin a conversation about enrolling your child at St. Dominic, contact the school principal, Pam Breunig, at pbreunig@stdominicelem.org or call the school office at 859-336-7165.
